Pak Nai Blockhouse, a declared monument

In June 2011, the Antiquities Office declared the blockhouse at No. 55 Pak Nai as a declared monument. This blockhouse located in Ha Pak Nai, Yuen Long was built around 1910 after the Guangzhou New Army Uprising. As the area faces Tin Hau Bay, it was a sparsely populated place in the early 20th century. In addition, there were mudflats and jungles along the way, which made it convenient for revolutionaries from Guangzhou to escape or hide. The whole building is square in shape, built with blue bricks, and has two floors. There is a loft between the first floor and the rooftop, but unfortunately, when we visited, the first floor was closed and we were unable to enter. It is said that there was a rice mill and a sugar refinery near the fort, but they were demolished many years ago. In conclusion, the area is small and there are not many cultural relics or places to visit. #HongKongDeclaredMonuments #HistoricBuildings

A good place for picnics in Hong Kong - Hau Bai Ni The first time I went to the suburbs of Hong Kong, although it was a bit far, it was worth it. A friend introduced, went to one of this place - Lower White Mud, through a small mountain road, very fresh nature atmosphere, so that the whole person is very relaxing. As we walked in, we just met the sunset, which changed from golden yellow to fiery red. It is worth a group of friends to come for a walk in the countryside. #localtour #hongkonggoodplaces #countrysidegoods #HongKong #Haubaimu #HongKongscenery #sunsetphotospots #sunsettwilight
