Difficulty ★★★★☆ Length ★☆☆☆☆ - For people who often hike, Yugui Mountain should not be a difficult mountain to climb. It takes about 20-30 minutes to reach the top of the first photo spot (Figure 1) without stopping to rest. The first section of the road up the mountain is mostly rocky. Because there is a certain slope, it is best to wear gloves to climb the mountain, otherwise it is very hard to climb with your hands. I think the more difficult part is the downhill section. Since the downhill section is mainly a mixture of gravel and irregular rocks (Figure 2), it is very steep. Therefore, even if the section is not long, you must lower your center of gravity and move forward slowly throughout the whole section, so as not to fall directly into the sea like playing grass skiing 😵‍💫 - It took about 2 hours to cross the entire Yugui Mountain, including stopping to rest and take photos. If you hike during low tide during the day, you can take the trail to the opposite sandbar (Figures 3 and 4). At the end of the sandbar is the gathering place for internet celebrities - the lighthouse (Figure 5)! The road here is relatively easy to walk, and it only takes 30-40 minutes to cross the entire sandbar. - There are two ways to get back to Wong Chuk Hang MTR Station: 1. Go back to the junction of Liandao Shazhou and Yuguishan and take a private boat back (irregular schedule) 2. Go back to the starting point along the side of Yuguishan. The only thing you need to pay attention to is the time of high and low tide, otherwise you might be trapped on the island? ! - Fortunately, the weather is cloudy and cool today. Even with the sea breeze, you will still sweat a lot when climbing the wall.
