La Barra Tapas Spanish Restaurant (Cheung Sha Wan)

Located in the quiet neighborhood of Cheung Sha Wan, @labarra_csw is a small Spanish restaurant offering amazingly authentic tapas It was quite packed when we visited during lunch hours, but we still got seats at the bar right in front of the friendly chef who handed us a complimentary tapas of tomato bread 🍅 The lunch set consisted of an entree, main dish, dessert (Italian vanilla gelato) and drinks (+$15 for wine 🥂) [Gambas al Ajillo] A classic Spanish tapas done well with four plump shrimps bathed in olive oil and garlic chips. The red pepper added a slightly spicy kick, so I had to pair each bite with some crusty sourdough bread 🍞 [Squid Croquette] A wonderful blend of complimentary tastes and contrasting textures: the chewiness of finely chopped squid bites; the creaminess of the molten squid ink and lobster stock mixture; and crispiness of the dark outer coating - definitely a must order 😍 [Seafood Paella] Topped with local fresh seafood such as shrimps, mussels and clams, the firm rice was deeply infused with lobster stock for ultimate flavor. Don’t forget to squeeze some lemon juice to enhance the vibrance of the dish 🍋 [Sea Bream] We chose the grilled vegetables as a side instead of the fideo (noodles) 🐟 The sea bream was boneless, tender and well-seasoned - simply irresistible!
