Mekong Delta Day Tour

This is my favorite day itinerary in Ho Chi Minh City! You can purchase a one-day tour package from a local travel agency. At around 7:30 in the morning, we gathered at the travel agency's office to board a bus to the Mekong River. The first stop was a visit to Vinh Trang Pagoda, which has a unique and beautiful interior, with giant Buddha statues. Next, we took a cruise to Ky Lan/Unicorn Island to explore orchards and a bee farm, where we tasted honey tea and even had the opportunity to take photos with pythons. We also visited a coconut candy workshop to taste specialty candies and coconut wine. We visited a tropical fruit orchard to sample fruits and listen to traditional folk music from Southern Vietnam. After lunch, we took a hand-rowed boat ride on the Mekong River. The Mekong River had a tropical rainforest feel, and the small boat ride was quite interesting, although the river water had a bit of an odor. This was my favorite part of the day!
