The Shonan Tanabata Summer Festival, Hiratsuka

#summerfest Tanabata Festival （七夕）is one of the festival based on the folklore of the love story of a celestial maiden and a commoner shepherd, where they were only allowed to meet on this particular day during the year. The Tanabata Festival in Hiratsuka is the biggest within the region and you will see colourful lanterns hanging around the streets, dancers performing and street vendors selling street food.
