Arxan National Forest Park

National 5A-level scenic spot, located in Arxan City, Xing'an League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, at the southwestern foot of the Greater Khingan Range. Arxan is an extension of the Greater Khingan Range. Santanxia The first attraction of Arxan, walking on the wooden plank path, passing through the pine forest, accompanied by streams, with mountains, water, and trees, the air is fresh. This spot is really nice for a warm-up, it's just a bit cold in the forest in the early morning. There is a stele marking the source of the Halaha River. The little wooden cabins in the distance are quite atmospheric. Camel Hump Ridge Tianchi The park is characterized by volcanic rock landforms, and volcanic eruptions thousands of years ago formed hundreds of large and small Tianchi (heavenly ponds), with Camel Hump Ridge Tianchi being the largest one. From the highest viewing platform, you can overlook the entire Tianchi, which resembles the shape of a left footprint, surrounded by mountains. The autumn scenery unfolds, changing from green to yellow to orange to brown, gradually appearing before your eyes. It's a pity that the cloud layer is quite thick, and the lack of blue sky makes it less impressive. Grand Canyon This is a natural volcanic rock canyon fracture zone, where black volcanic rocks can be seen everywhere. There are also cute pikas that occasionally appear, performing a show of foraging, moving swiftly and hiding, with very quick movements. We encountered a large red ant mound, a really big one, full of red ants. Azalea Lake This is the largest volcanic lake in the forest area, with a landscape of mountains and water reflecting each other, offering a broad view. There are some azaleas, like Rhododendron dauricum and such, but it's not the flowering season now.
