Himeji Castle, a beautiful landscape of white heron castle, cherry blossoms and Japanese boats

Himeji Castle is one of Japan's three most famous castles and is registered as a World Heritage Site. You can see spectacular views of the cherry blossoms at the famous spots within the castle, but the view of the castle tower, cherry blossoms, red bridge and Japanese boat is particularly beautiful. This view can be seen from a slightly hard-to-find spot behind Gokoku Shrine (third photo). It is said to be a reproduction of a boat that was actually used in the moat in the past, using the same construction methods and tools as it was back then. The boat moved faster than expected, the way the sunlight hit the cherry blossoms changed every moment, and the boat only came once every 40 minutes, so it took me three hours to take a photo that I was satisfied with. After taking photos of the boat, I crossed Sakuramon Bridge and headed into the castle. On the way to the castle tower, there was a tunnel of cherry blossoms and several photo spots where you can take beautiful photos of the cherry blossoms and the castle (photos 4-7).
