[Shiga] Hikone, the city of Omi beef and Hikone Castle

#Spring0yenTrip Hikone is a quiet town full of historical charm, and Hikone Castle was particularly impressive. The castle towers just a short walk from the station, and the castle tower is beautifully preserved. The moat and gardens around it are also well-maintained, and the scenery surrounding the castle is pleasant. Inside the castle, there are exhibits that give a sense of the samurai culture of the Edo period, and you can take your time to explore while immersing yourself in history. The streets of Hikone spread out around Hikone Castle, dotted with traditional townhouses, and walking around the area made me feel like I had traveled back in time. In the center of town, there was a statue of a cute character called Hikonyan, which made sightseeing fun. In addition, Hikone is famous for its delicious Omi beef, which is said to be very tasty. Hikone was a town with a calm atmosphere where you can enjoy historical spots and delicious food.
