Shinokura Castle

Shinokura Castle consists of three facilities: the former Matsuba Residence and the Mining Museum. Fees Adults: 200 yen, Free for high school students and younger *Please purchase your admission ticket at the front Mining Museum. Hours 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM (Last admission at 4:15 PM) Located within the Takahara Local Museum, Shinokura Castle is a reconstructed keep built on the site of the turret base of Higashimachi Castle, one of the castles of the Ema clan. Together with other facilities such as the Mining Museum and the former Matsuba Residence, it opened as the Takahara Local Museum in 1970.
