Travel Guide for a 3-Day, 2-Night Trip from Shenzhen to Heyuan

Day 1: Bavaria Manor: To avoid traffic during the National Day holiday, depart from Shenzhen at 7:30 AM, a 2-hour drive. This European-style town features candy-colored windmill houses, a Black Forest amusement park, a water park, and a traditional Chinese medicine hot spring. We arrived just in time to see the Yingge Dance. Fuyuan Temple: Located within Bavaria Manor, this is the world's first Hakka-style temple. The golden Bodhi holy tree is made of 18 tons of imitation gold bronze, with 4,800 golden leaves, which is very impressive. Yequgou: Take a 12-yuan sightseeing bus to reach the waterfall. The majestic Tongtian River waterfall and the rugged rock formations are mesmerizing, making you feel like you're in an oxygen bar. Take off your shoes and play in the clear stream with colorful stones. You can also experience the thrilling dark cave rafting before reaching the waterfall. Day 2: Wanlu Lake: Known as the first lake in South China, it is praised as the 'Heavenly Jade Pool Water, Human World Wanlu Lake.' Named for its greenery, it has over 360 green islands. The greenery is so vibrant that it can't be fully captured by a phone camera. Highly recommended. Take a boat (two routes available) and buy tickets in advance for a discount. If short on time, take a sightseeing bus to Jinghuayuan only. Tickets are 32 yuan if bought a day in advance, 40 yuan on-site. Asia's Highest Fountain: After enjoying Wanlu Lake until 5:30 PM, head to Asia's highest fountain, which starts at 8 PM. Arrive early to find parking nearby. You can park at the conference center or Wanlian Computer City. The conference center requires early arrival to secure a spot. Day 3: Shopping at Jianji Shopping Center, Wanda Plaza, and Wanlong City. After a meal, grab a cup of Ah Yi Lemon Tea and head back. Heyuan Food Recommendations: Che Tian Lao Claypot Porridge (delicious fried ribs), Little Bangkok Thai Cuisine, and Thai Tea House. These two Thai restaurants offer a variety of dishes at reasonable prices and taste great.
