Heligoland - Germanys magical one and only high seas island

Most islands of germany are close to the coast, but not this one: You can go there by different ferrys for example from Cuxhaven in 1-2 hours or even from Hamburg in 3,5-4 hours! This is what i highly recomend, because you´ll have a nice yourney on a catameran highspeed ship which goes down the elbe river (on a slow pace!) and afterwards 1 hour on the sea. Helgoland itself is a magical place: Picture perfect colorful fisher huts and an extraordinary landscape. You can also shop duty free there or visit the small museum. Walking around the "Oberland" is a special unusual nature experience.
