What is it like to swim while looking at Helan Mountain?

🏔 Stayed at a stunning sandstone-colored hotel in Yinchuan, Ningxia, backed by Helan Mountain 📍 Location: Anmo Hotel, Zhongwei, Ningxia (recommended to drive or take a taxi) If you want to find a quiet place for a secluded weekend, this is a great choice. The hotel has its own vineyard and wine cellar, with a sandstone-colored exterior echoing the Helan Mountain landscape, and the interior incorporates many wine elements. The spiral staircase in the lobby resembles a wine bottle opener. The large terrace outside the second-floor restaurant is great for photos, with a distant view of the Han Meilin Art Museum at the foot of Helan Mountain. 🛁 Room: A standalone two-story villa-style room. I chose the second-floor Helan Mountain view king room, which has a large balcony and floor-to-ceiling glass, allowing you to lie in bed and look at Helan Mountain. The room is quite spacious and fully equipped, with Liu Sanduo Eight Treasures Tea available for brewing. There is a round bathtub, but I chose to swim instead of taking a bath. 🎡 Hotel activities: There is a children's activity room, and every day at a fixed time a foreign teacher leads Helan Mountain stone painting. There are fewer activities in the off-season. Every night at 8:30 PM there is a stargazing event; the stargazing instructor decides whether it will be indoors or outdoors based on the weather. The instructor is a stargazing enthusiast and excellent. Other activities can be checked on the activity schedule. 🏊‍♀️ Pool: Open hours: weekends 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM. I went in mid-November, and it wasn’t cold. Swimming while looking at Helan Mountain during the day, and at night the pool lights on the ceiling look like a dazzling star river. The experience was excellent. 🍽 Dining: Standard and a bit pricey; you might want to check group deals. I booked the wine cellar dinner, which served dishes one by one and was relatively slow, so if you want to stargaze, it’s better to eat earlier. The breakfast buffet was also standard. 🔸 Special note: The hotel is quite isolated, with no shopping or dining areas nearby. ❤️ Overall impression: The off-season is great—few people, quiet, exclusive pool, lying in bed watching the snow-covered mountain peaks, feeling the unique tranquility of winter. It should be even more beautiful after the next snowfall.
