The History Book on the Stone - Helan Mountain Rock Paintings

Located on the eastern foothills of Helan Mountain in Yinchuan, Ningxia, the scenic area is about 45 kilometers from downtown Yinchuan. The first stop within the scenic area, accessible by shuttle bus, is the Helan Mountain Rock Paintings. There are nearly 6,000 ancient rock paintings preserved in the area, depicting human figures, animals, plants, celestial bodies, water patterns, and tools. The most representative of these is the 'Sun God' rock painting, which has been unanimously praised by rock painting experts and scholars both domestically and internationally as the emblem of the International Rock Art Summit. The natural landscape, historical relics, and the craftsmanship of nature have also created several unique geographical features. It is easy to spot rock sheep here. The second stop is the Han Meilin Art Museum, located within the Helan Mountain Rock Painting Heritage Park. Covering an area of about 16,000 square meters, with a building area of about 7,000 square meters, the museum currently has 'Five Halls, Two Rooms, One Corridor, and One Valley.' It exhibits over 1,000 works. Han Meilin has a fondness for animals, and his paintings have turned into a zoo, with monkeys, horses, cows, and sheep vividly brought to life with a stroke here and a dot there. Do not miss it. This is the third Han Meilin Art Museum in the country.
