Welcome to Hefei! 合肥 Getting there - I took a Didi from my apartment complex located in Binhu. It took about 40 minutes and the cost was approximately ¥35. The closest subway station is 国防科技大学(Guofangkejidaxue - subway line 3) exit 4. From there, it is about a 15mins walk. Shops- There are plenty of little shops. I saw a bookstore and some fancy stores selling clothes and handbags. There’s a Starbucks coffee and a little chocolate store. Restaurants and bars - Plenty! There are some clubs and lounges. I saw quite a few Western restaurants as well and others such as Japanese and Korean restaurants. I went to the Indian restaurant and it was delicious. I had chicken curry with a garlic naan and a mango lassi. The price is also quite affordable!
