And since we traveled during the festival, there were few seat options. So we got the upper bunk seat. But because this trip was an emergency, we had a small child traveling with us. So the seat that was booked may not be able to sleep in the upper bunk due to safety and weight support. Normally, you have to book the lower bunk only, which allows 2 people to sleep. But this time, it was really urgent. And the staff calculated the weight and size, so they allowed 2 people to sleep on the upper bunk. But let the small child sleep inside for safety. If any of you have plans to travel by train and have a small child, it would be much better to plan and book a seat in advance. Because you can choose the seat. And there is a compartment for women and children only. The CNR express train that we booked was a 2nd class air-conditioned seat and sleeper, 40 CNR, upper bunk, the seats are red seats, looking very beautiful, the seats are wide and not hard, can sit 2 people comfortably, there are folding tables for eating or working, there is a place to charge your phone, very convenient. And this train also has a pantry, which is available in sets, with both rice and steak menus, the price of the food is 190 baht per set, including water, which is considered quite acceptable because this train does not have vendors walking around selling on the train, but you can buy it at the door at each station. But you have to be on time because the train is quite punctual. And around 7 pm, they start making beds for you to rest. For those who do not want to make the bed first, you can tell the staff. As for the water, it is clean, there are always cleaning staff. When it's time to sleep, I climbed up to sleep with my younger sibling, it was just right, not too cramped. And there is also a charging station on top. I slept for 1 night. Woke up and arrived at Phatthalung Station. The staff started to pack the beds before reaching Hat Yai Junction Station, our destination. I must say that the train was on time and was not late at all. However, it might be a bit slow when getting off because there were a lot of people getting off at the final destination station.
