☕️ Hanoi Train Street Guide & Tips! 🚊

At Hanoi’s Train Street, you can sip coffee just inches from a passing train, making for a thrilling and unforgettable experience! 🤩 📍 General Information There are two main sections of Train Street: 1. Trần Phú Street (Popular & Lively) Many cafés, lights, and a vibrant atmosphere. Closer to the Old Quarter but can get crowded. 2. Lê Duẩn Street (Quieter & Less Touristy) Fewer tourists with a relaxed vibe. There are some cafés, ideal for a quieter experience. ✨We chose Trần Phú for its convenience and lively atmosphere. 🚂 ⏰ Train Schedule We arrived at 2:45 PM to catch the 3:30 PM train. However, train schedules can change! ⚠️TIP: Always check with the café owners at least one hour before to confirm the exact timing. Estimates can be found on Google. For reference, on a Saturday, the announced train schedule was: - 3:15 PM (instead of 3:30 PM) - Next train: 5:40 PM (instead of 5:30 PM) ☕ TIPS! 🚊 ✅ Many cafés line the tracks; simply pick one with available seating ✅ Prices are est. 70,000–80,000 VND per drink ✅ Listen carefully to café staff instructions for safety. ✅ Tables are positioned to keep you at a safe distance from the train. 😉 TIP: DO order beer and let the train flatten the bottle cap for a unique souvenir! 🎁 🚂 When the train approaches, the experience is thrilling yet nerve-wracking, it rushes past at arm’s length, lasting over a minute! 😱 🤔 If you DON’T want to buy any drinks… ✅ You can stand behind the road-rail intersection just before the train arrives ✅ After the train passes, you can walk onto the tracks for photos. However, I highly recommend ordering a drink for the front-row experience, it’s WORTH IT! 👍☕️🚂 Address: No. 3 Tran Phu Street, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi #newyearnewtrip #vietnamtrip #vietnamitinerary #vietnam #hanoi #hanoitrainstreet #trainstreet #trainstreetcoffee #100waysoftravel #oldquarter
