Yanguan Tide Music City | Experience an exhilarating "tidal" culture

"The eighteenth of August tide is unparalleled under heaven" – visiting Yanguan Tide Music City truly left me awestruck! Upon entering the scenic area, the first thing that caught my eye was the wildly popular tidal wall, where water curtains intertwine with light effects. Every hour on the hour, an "artificial tidal surge" is activated, creating a spectacular scene that draws crowds of photo-takers. The area is divided into southern and northern routes. I explored the northern route first, visiting Xu Zhimo's family-owned Yufeng Soy Sauce Garden, then touring the former residence of Chancellor Chen and the Republic-era police station, finally arriving at the Imperial Dock where Emperor Qianlong disembarked – it truly felt like stepping back in time. The next day, I followed the southern route to witness the Qiantang River tidal bore firsthand at the Tide-Watching Park, with crests reaching up to 3 meters high. The thunderous sound of the surging waves resembled a thousand cavalry charging across the water, exactly as described in our school textbooks! The Jin Yong Academy is also well worth visiting, evoking childhood dreams of martial arts. For accommodation, I chose the Lead Singer Music Resort Hotel within the scenic area. The rooms are filled with musical elements and offer spacious comfort. The Music Home Museum in the hotel's basement is particularly fascinating – you can wave a baton to experience conducting an orchestra and even engage in a cross-temporal dialogue with seven music masters. The only drawback was that some areas were under renovation, and there were relatively few operating merchants.
