In Kunming, I enjoyed strolling along Yuantong Road at night, watching the cherry blossoms illuminated by streetlights, a joy welling up within me. This time, strolling along West Lake at night, watching the cherry blossoms in the misty rain, a familiar joy arises. The romantic white blossoms complement the lake, the pagoda, the mountains, and the people, creating a scene of both delicate beauty and grandeur. Connected to the Grand Canal in the north and Qiantang River in the south, Hangzhou boasts a dense network of waterways and canals. Convenient shipping has been the cornerstone of Hangzhou's prosperity. Merchants traded here, scholars observed the tides here, and artists arrived by boat with various songs, dances, and performing arts, weaving tangible vibrancy into Hangzhou's daily life. Today, the past is but a wisp of smoke, yet the melodies linger. Walking in Hangzhou, pausing inadvertently, melodies drift through the streets and alleys, evoking a world of emotions. As the song goes, "Spring's beauty is nowhere but Jiangnan, moonlight is best enjoyed with two companions." The gentle and enchanting Hangzhou transforms every inch of spring's growth into elegant verses. Jiangnan, represented by Hangzhou, has long transcended its geographical definition, becoming a culture, an aesthetic. Life is a vast ocean, and only "a fleeting Jiangnan dream" is worth pursuing with all one's might.
