Zhejiang | Dongziguan on the Fuchun River

​Founded in the Southern Song Dynasty, Dongziguan Village is bordered by the Fuchun River to the north and a small mountain range to the south. It has been an important dock and trading center on the Fuchun River since ancient times. The name of the village comes from the "Dongzi Pass" established here in ancient times, which later evolved into "Dongziguan." Writer Yu Dafu's novel *Dongziguan* is set in this village and describes the protagonist's story of seeking medical treatment here, making Dongziguan Village widely known. The ancient buildings in the village are characterized by white walls, black tiles, and horse-head walls. The well-preserved Xu Family Courtyard, with its carved doors and windows, and courtyard, is a typical example.
