Liuhe Pagoda, Hangzhou

Liuhe Pagoda: Located in Liuhe Cultural Park on Zhijiang Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou, the pagoda is backed by Yuelun Mountain and overlooks the Qiantang River. It was first built in 970 AD (the third year of the Kaibao period of the Northern Song Dynasty) by Qian Hongchu, King of Wuyue. The pagoda was destroyed and rebuilt many times in history. It was rebuilt in 1899 AD (the 25th year of the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty) and has been preserved to this day. The pagoda is 59.89 meters high, with a pavilion-style brick body and wooden structure, and a regular octagonal plane. The brick pagoda body has seven stories, and the outer eaves and corridors have thirteen stories of wooden structure. The layout is regular and grand, and the eaves and corners are flying like a roc spreading its wings, showing a magnificent momentum.
