Zhejiang Hangzhou Ge Liyong and Ge Shuzi Former Residence Memorial Hall

This building was built by Ge Jianqing, a descendant of national hero Ge Yunfei, during the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty. It covers an area of 163.3 square meters and has a floor area of 275 square meters. It is commonly known as "Wuqiangmen". The small courtyard with three rooms and two side rooms on the west side is the former residence of Ge Liyong, and the single room on the east side is the former residence of Ge Shuzi. The biggest feature of this museum is that it uses original documents such as letters, diaries, poems, and photos to tell the story. During the construction of the museum, it received strong support from the villagers of Yunfei Village and the descendants of the martyrs. The exhibits in the museum are mainly donated, which truly reflect the social life changes in Yunfei Village from the early 20th century to the early days of liberation and the growth trajectory of the martyrs. The exhibition in the memorial hall mainly consists of physical objects and related archives and documents donated by the relatives of Ge Liyong, the head of the intelligence department of the Jinshao Detachment of the New Fourth Army, and Ge Shuzi, a member of the Communist Youth League. It is divided into five chapters: living in troubled times, caring for the world, joining the war of resistance, aspiring to serve the country, fighting in various places, saving the nation from extinction, infiltrating behind enemy lines, escaping from the tiger's mouth, returning to the organization, and sacrificing heroically. These chapters comprehensively display the growth experiences, social backgrounds, and revolutionary deeds of Ge Liyong and Ge Shuzi, making it a historical site worth visiting.
