"Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies, the most beautiful place in the mountains," wrote Qing Dynasty scholar Yu Yue, capturing the infinite beauty of this earthly paradise. The catchy repetition in the poem "Layer upon layer of mountains, winding roads, tinkling springs, and tall trees" brings the ethereal fairyland closer to the heart.
