Hangzhou Botanical Garden Hangzhou Botanical Garden is located on the west side of Yanggong Causeway, West Lake, and at the foot of Taoyuan Ridge. It was established in 1956. The garden has nine exhibition areas and four experimental areas, including plant classification, economic plants, bamboo plants, ornamental plants, trees, and landscape gardens. The landscape garden and Jade Spring Fish Jump are the highlights. The garden also has the Han Meilin Art Museum. Take a bus to the north gate of the Botanical Garden, where you can see a wooden archway, which is the Toushan Gate. When you reach the intersection of Yugu Road, the south gate is on the left and the north gate is on the right. The best time to visit the Magnolia Mountain Tea Garden is during the magnolia blooming season in spring. Magnolia flowers are on the top and camellia flowers are on the bottom. The garden has more than 100 species of Magnoliaceae plants (including varieties), such as magnolia, magnolia grandiflora, and goose palm, and has collected more than 500 domestic and foreign camellia and camellia varieties, such as Eighteen Scholars, Red Pearl, Golden Lychee, Sunset, Chao Cang, and Li Han. It is a specialized garden in East China that collects a wide variety of camellia species and varieties. In summer, you can see magnolia grandiflora and lotus. Enter from the north gate along Yugu Road, and in autumn you can see a large area of osmanthus and crape myrtle garden at the entrance. There are more than 1,000 trees and more than 40 varieties of osmanthus planted here. To the right of the Osmanthus and Crape Myrtle Garden is the Landscape Garden, which is very close to Jade Spring Fish Jump. It is a garden artificially built according to the natural terrain. The island in the center of the lake has become a paradise for migratory birds and ducks. This is also a favorite place for bird lovers. You can see many people bringing their children to watch birds, with cameras and telescopes. Some people are taking artistic photos in the pavilions and towers next to it.
