Wuliu Lane is located in the Shangcheng District of Hangzhou, starting from the south at Doufu Sanqiao and extending north to Daoyuan Lane. During the Southern Song Dynasty, Wuliu Garden was built here, hence the name. In the past, it was the residence of officials and nobles, and later became a dwelling place for the common people, with many small craftsmen and traders living here. In the thirty-third year of the Guangxu era of the Qing Dynasty (1907), the Hangzhou Railway Station was built inside the Qingtai Gate, and the train entered the city, making this area increasingly lively. Nowadays, the area near Hefang Street is quite bustling, with many coffee shops, teahouses, craft stores, and restaurants attracting young people. On the other side of Doufu Bridge, it is actually more authentic, with many quiet alleys maintaining their original state.
