The Zhejiang Geological Museum is a niche treasure museum

After lunch on the fifth day of the Lunar New Year, I went to visit the Zhejiang Geological Museum and was surprised by how much I learned. Although the museum is small, it has quite a few good things. It was an educational and eye-opening experience, and a very nice museum overall. 📍Detailed address: No. 128, Jinshan Road, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province 🕙Opening hours: Wednesday to Sunday, 9:30——16:30, holidays are notified separately. 🚉Transportation strategy: There is a subway line 5 nearby, get off at Bo'ao Road station. Most visitors come here by car, and there is an underground parking garage, which is free of charge. ⏳Visiting time: It takes about two hours to finish the tour 🗓 Background: Opened in April 2023, the museum has 2 floors. In addition to the regular galleries, there are also science classrooms and gem laboratories, allowing everyone to closely understand the vicissitudes of the mountains and seas over two billion years. Outside the museum, there are three dinosaurs unique to Zhejiang, namely two Dongyangosaurus looking fiercely, Lishui Zhejiangosaurus, and Jilantai Zhejiangosaurus. Upon entering the museum's lobby, what catches the eye is a huge geometrically shaped wall engraved with the theme of the Zhejiang Geological Museum - 'Mountains and Seas of Zhejiang over Two Billion Years'. There are currently four permanent exhibition halls in the museum: 'Geological History Hall', 'Mineral Resources Hall', 'Geological Environment Hall', and 'Marine Geology Hall', which together tell the story of the mountains and seas of Zhejiang over two billion years. The Geological Museum is a great place to learn about the history and geography of the mountains and seas. It's an eye-opener for adults, and children are even more likely to get engrossed.
