Lin'an Tianmu Mountain is known as "the big tree with a canopy of glory known throughout the country"

Tianmu Mountain in Lin'an is known as "the big tree with a canopy famous throughout the nine states". It is located in Lin'an District, northwest of Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, at the junction of Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, 84 kilometers away from Hangzhou, and in the middle of the golden tourist line from Hangzhou to Huangshan. There are two peaks, east and west, with a pond on the top of each. Tianmu Mountain is full of green mountains, with rare ancient Metasequoia glyptostroboides communities, 12,000-year-old "living fossil" ancient Ginkgo biloba, and flowing springs and waterfalls. It is known as the "Kingdom of Big Trees" and the "Cool World", and is a scenic spot for sightseeing and relaxing the mind since ancient times. Tianmu Mountain, a wonder of flora and fauna, has an ancient geology. The mountain was formed in the Yanshan period 150 million years ago and is part of the "Jiangnan Ancient Land". It has unique landforms and complex topography, and is known as the "typical ancient glacial site in East China"; with steep cliffs, numerous strange rocks, numerous canyons and beautiful natural scenery, it can be called a "wonderful mountain in Jiangnan"; the special topography and long-standing Buddhist culture have led to the complete protection of the remains of flora and fauna and the vegetation in the area, making it a wonder of the world and one of the areas with the richest higher plant resources in my country's mid-subtropical forests. Zhejiang Tianmu Mountain National Nature Reserve preserves the typical forest vegetation types of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Its forest landscape is known for being “ancient, large, high, rare, numerous and beautiful.”
