Huili Ancient Temple

Huili Temple: It was built during the Ningkang period of the Eastern Jin Dynasty (373 AD) at the home of Shangshu Zhang Yanguang, and was named Zhiyuan Temple. It was destroyed by war in the late Tang Dynasty, rebuilt in the second year of Gan De in the Northern Song Dynasty, and named Huili Temple in the second year of Dazhong Xiangfu in the Song Dynasty. It was renovated several times during the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The temple was destroyed by fire in 1926, leaving only the main hall. It was rebuilt in 1980. The existing Huili Temple is the oldest relic of the Jin Dynasty. The two Tang Dynasty stone pagodas in Huili Temple are 4.9 meters high and eight-sided. They have a Sumeru pedestal at the bottom and a canopy and lotus top. They are engraved with the Sutta Dharani Sutra and reliefs of lotus and animal faces. They are relics of Tang carvings.
