Haining Yanguan Temple of the Sea God

Temple of the Sea God: Located in Yanguan Ancient Town, Haining, the temple was first built in September of the 8th year of the Yongzheng reign of the Qing Dynasty (1729) and completed in November of the 9th year of the Yongzheng reign. Most of the buildings were destroyed during the Xianfeng reign and rebuilt in the 11th year of the Guangxu reign (1885). The entire building is divided into nine courtyards, with east, middle, and west routes in the vertical direction. Currently, there are stone arches, stone squares, stone lions, Qingcheng Bridge, the main gate, the main hall, and the imperial stele pavilion. The main hall is built in the style of the Hall of Supreme Harmony in the Forbidden City, which is magnificent and spectacular. It is now a national key cultural relic protection unit and one of the best-preserved temples of the sea god in China.
