|InterContinental Haikou. Hotel | InterContinental Haikou ✨On the way back via Haikou, check in at this newly renovated InterContinental Hotel upgraded by Hualuxe. The hotel is next to Hainan University. It is very lively at night and the music is always blasting. The decoration style of the hotel is a bit similar to that of Nanjing Ritz (art deco style?), the facilities are very new, the floral arrangements are wonderful, and some of the Chinese mahogany decorations have the shadow of Hualuxe. DA booked a basic room and was given a sea view room. The balcony had a view of the Century Bridge and the city skyline. The sunset and blues were beautiful. The downside is that the room and the twin beds are quite small. The executive lounge is on the 10th floor, and the overlap between HH meals and breakfast is slightly higher. The best view of the hotel is also given to the lounge balcony. ✨The breakfast restaurant is very beautiful, a bit like the Waldorf Astoria in Xiamen. The food maintains the high standard of Intercontinental. Local specialties such as pandan cake, pickled noodles and houan noodles are also presented and taste good. The hotel's outdoor swimming pool is not large, but the surrounding greenery is well integrated with the hotel's garden, giving a feeling of a vacation in the city. The room comes with two free bottles of Evian mineral water. The housekeeping staff proactively asks if a night bed is needed and gives a night bed gift of a box of partridge tea, which is highly praised. Overall satisfied, I will stay here again next time I arrive in Haikou.
