Shangdan Village in Haikou is one of the five natural villages of Pandan Village, including Shangdan, Zhongdan, Xiadan, Toudan, and Weidan. It is now an urban village and one of the four famous cultural villages in Hainan. Shangdan Village has become a famous cultural village in Qiong Island, and the Tang family's emphasis on education has played an important role. The Tang family, educating the Li people and spreading culture, has made significant contributions to Hainan and the country. From the Song to the Qing Dynasty, the Tang family in Shangdan was a famous family in Hainan, and many famous officials were born in successive dynasties. In the imperial examination era, the Tang family gave birth to 9 Jinshi and 38 Juren, and 6 Jinshi were born in the Ming Dynasty alone, and two pairs of father and son Jinshi were born, which became a good story for thousands of years. The existing Shangdan Village retains the "Zhu Gen Quan", which was dug when Tang Zhuo lived at home.
