[Aomori Prefecture/Kabushima Shrine] A shrine where you can encounter 40,000 sea lions

Kabushima Shrine is known as a thriving area for sea lions, a nationally designated natural monument! On the way to the shrine, I came across a sign that read "40,000 sea lions." 40,000!? I went to see what I could imagine, but it was a truly amazing number. What's more, the parents were raising their young and looked murderous. I visited the shrine cautiously. My umbrella (parasol) was not enough, so I was grateful to borrow one that was next to the torii gate. The attack from above was brutal. It hit the bag of a priest who was on his way to work. On the torii gate, on the lion statues, and all over the grounds... Even when I took a photo, it felt a bit hygienic, but it was still worth seeing.
