South Korea Gyeongju World Heritage Day Tour: Bulguksa Temple, Wolji Pond, Cheomseongdae Star

The 3am flight arrived in Busan at 6am. It was already 6:30am after I cleared customs. I found the Busan Express Bus Station and bought the first bus to Gyeongju. It was just past 9 in the morning when I arrived at the hostel. I washed up and took the bus to the first stop - Bulguksa Temple. This temple is listed as a World Cultural Heritage and has a thousand-year history. What attracted me most was the maple leaves turning red in the mountains when autumn comes. It’s a pity that I came too early and everything was still basically green! The second stop was to Huangtuanli Road for lunch. I found a shop that mainly sold fried rice, but as expected, their main courses were also for 2 people... I ordered raw beef bibimbap. Although it was delicious, this is available in many places! After eating, I wandered around here. I can only say that this area is indeed a tourist attraction that even Korean locals love to visit. Not only are the roads clean, but there are also Korean houses everywhere. The roads are wide and easy to walk. You can also find a cafe to look at the Daereungwon. After 3 o'clock, I went back to the hostel to check in and took a nap. I didn't get much sleep because of the red-eye flight. For the evening schedule, I thought it would be better to sleep in. I slept all the way until 5 o'clock and went out for a walk. My roommate suggested that I could walk to the Moon Pond, which is about 20 minutes away, but you can see pink muhly grass and Zhanxingtai in the middle, so I walked there in the comfortable and cool breeze. Luckily I brought a selfie stick with me this time, so if I wanted to take pictures I could just do it myself without asking anyone for help! We arrived at Moon Pond at around 6 o'clock. It was still slightly light but the lights were on. However, as netizens said, the scenery here is really good during the day. As the sky gradually changed, its beauty was slowly revealed. This is the only place I visited this time that requires a ticket, but I found that many attractions have cancelled the ticket charges, which is really cool! We went to the Central Market at night, but I can only say that you can’t go to the market at night. There were only night markets for tourists. I looked around but didn’t see what I wanted to eat, so I bought some seaweed rice rolls and spicy rice cakes from the supermarket and went back to the hostel to eat. Then I chatted with my new friends and complained about how unfriendly Korea is to solo travelers. You have to order two main dishes even though they have a lot of seats and there is still no business….
