We all remembered jogging under the cherry trees at Bomun Lake three years ago before the pandemic. This time, I made it a point to stay nearby and arrange a morning jog to relive the pink past. Unfortunately, the flowering period this year was advanced, and with the heavy rain in the past few days, the petals have all been blown off, and the scene of cherry blossoms in full bloom has come to an end. Only a few cherry trees remain, but they are still no match for our mobility. Walking along the trail of the Sinpyeong Ecological River towards the river mouth, you can connect to the Sangpomun Lake Scenic Area. Surrounding the scenic area are the International Conference Hall, major hotel chains, and Gyeongju World. The weather is cool and breezy, and many tourists who live nearby will jog or walk on the trails in the scenic area, which is very leisurely. Note: The hotel in Bomen Lake Scenic Area is about 5-6 kilometers away from the city. Tourists are advised to use buses or taxis for transportation. Most local tourists travel by car.
