Travelogue of Guilin's Scenic Beauty

A long-awaited journey brought me to the dreamlike Guilin. As the saying goes, "Guilin's scenery is the finest under heaven," and it is no exaggeration. Only by being there in person can one truly realize that even the most exquisite paintings pale in comparison to the real scenery. In the early morning, sunlight filters through the light mist, casting a golden glow over the Li River. The river flows gently eastward, resembling a silver ribbon. As the boat glides along, the verdant mountains on both sides reflect in the water, their heights varying and their shapes ever-changing, like an unfolding ink painting. The boatman rows while singing folk songs, his melodious voice blending harmoniously with nature. Look at Elephant Trunk Hill, resembling a giant elephant drinking from the river; then gaze at Nine Horse Fresco Hill, where the mottled patterns on the cliff astonishingly resemble nine galloping horses, leaving one in awe of nature's artistry.
