Huajiang Grand Canyon

The Huajiang Grand Canyon is located southwest of the county seat of Guanling Buyi and Miao Autonomous County in Guizhou, with the central scenic area 3 kilometers from Huajiang Town, 18 kilometers from the county seat, and 40 kilometers from the Huangguoshu scenic area. The Huajiang Grand Canyon is a provincial scenic spot in Guizhou Province and is currently applying to become a national scenic spot. It is the longest canyon in China. The canyon is a kilometer deep, about 80 kilometers long, 3 kilometers wide, and covers an area of about 300 square kilometers. The Huajiang Grand Canyon scenic spot can be divided into 5 scenic areas, with 50 natural landscape spots, 12 cultural spots, and 9 ethnic villages. Sanjiangkou Scenic Area: There are two scenic spots and 9 landscape features distributed along the river, including river valley water scenes, peculiar peaks and cliffs, and groups of strange rocks. The entire scenic area is rarely visited, maintaining the original charm of the landscape. Shanggua Scenic Area: The Shanggua Scenic Area extends from Panjiang Bridge to Jiupan, with landscapes distributed along the river. The canyon sides are mostly cliffs, and monkeys and wild goats appear among them, making it an area for canyon exploration. There are 2 scenic spots and 12 landscape features. Main attractions include: the ancient post road with 99 turns, the Red Board Wall White Horse Rock cliff, the Luomang Buyi Village, the Tiger Leaping Gorge, and the Porter's Rush Beach, among others. Xiagua Scenic Area: Centered around the Xiagua Buyi ancient village, the Xiagua Scenic Area extends from Jiupan to Hanyuan Cave, and is a scenic area that integrates natural scenery, cultural relics, and ethnic customs. Main attractions include: Xiagua Buyi Village, Mamayan Rock Paintings, Ancient Castle, Ancient Manor Ruins, Nude Woman River Natural Bath, Xiagua Waterfall (Mamayan Waterfall), Hanyuan Cave and its murals, Jienshan Canyon View, Reed and Flower Shoal, and Luohaitang, among other spots. Baling River Canyon: Located east of the county seat between Guansuoling and Shaijia Mountain, the mountains are high and the valley is deep. At the bottom of the valley is the winding Baling River, which connects to the Dripping Waterfall at the top and flows into the Dabang River at Langgong at the bottom.
