As a brand-new Marriott hotel with a distinct Chinese charm, its outstanding quality and service make it an ideal choice for a staycation. Initially, I was a bit worried about the crowds during the Qingming Festival holiday, but checking in towards the end of the holiday brought a surprisingly comfortable experience, which I'll share in detail below! 📍 Location: The hotel boasts an excellent location, right next to Baiyun Cultural Square Station on Metro Line 2. It's just a few minutes' walk from Exit B. Not only is the bustling Baixin Square nearby, but it's also very convenient to hail a ride. At night, the hotel courtyard is quiet and pleasant, perfect for a relaxing stroll. 🍃 Service: The service is truly exceptional. After communicating my needs in advance, the hotel thoughtfully arranged an executive suite. Upon learning that it was our anniversary, they proactively asked if we needed a cake and delivered it on time. The rich and creamy animal cream cake was a delightful surprise. Room service was prompt, and the robot delivery for takeout was both fun and efficient. The check-in process was smooth, with the staff not only working efficiently but also carefully guiding us to our room. Even checking in at 12:30 pm required no waiting. The staff throughout the hotel were warm and courteous, always greeting us with a smile. The service quality far exceeded expectations. 🏠 Room Review: The approximately 80-square-meter executive suite features a clever layout with practical double bathrooms, both equipped with TOTO electric toilets. Double sinks and a large bathtub provide a spacious and comfortable washing area, complete with a Dyson hairdryer. Both TVs in the living room and bedroom support screen mirroring, and the JBL speakers by the bed create a romantic ambiance. The bedding is soft and comfortable, and mouthwash is thoughtfully provided. The mini-bar offers four capsules of fragrant coffee, and eight bottles of Bama Platinum Spring Water meet daily hydration needs. The mountain view room offers a wide vista, making the overall stay perfect. 🍷 Executive Lounge: The Executive Lounge experience was excellent. Even entering an hour early, despite the crowd, there was no queue. The food selection was diverse, with three hot dishes, pizza, and a noodle station serving Demae Iccho instant noodles. The dessert selection was also impressive. The lounge has a professional bartender who, when asked about other alcoholic beverages, enthusiastically presented an extensive drinks menu. The attentive staff and their proactive greetings highlighted their care for guests. Before bed, I wanted hot milk, and although takeaway cups were temporarily unavailable, the staff generously allowed me to use a lounge cup to take back to my room. The outdoor seating area in the lounge is a major highlight, offering guests a unique space for relaxation. 🏋️ Fitness Center: The fitness center is a good size and well-equipped, featuring the same equipment as the Jinmao Marriott, including a stair climber to cater to various fitness needs. Towels and drinking water are readily available, providing convenience for fitness enthusiasts. 🥣 Breakfast: The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including freshly made and aromatic cheung fun, and three kinds of refreshing fresh juices. While some fruits like watermelon and honeydew melon were slightly lacking in sweetness, the overall taste was excellent, ranking among the best in similar hotels. 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The hotel's soundproofing is excellent, effectively blocking outside noise and creating a quiet sleeping environment. The rooms and public areas are impeccably clean, with attention to detail. 🏘️ Room Type/Layout: The executive suite is spacious, with a well-designed layout and practical double bathrooms. Even though the twin room is slightly smaller than the king room, the overall layout is compact and meets the needs of different guests. 🛌 Amenities/Facilities: From the Dyson hairdryer and JBL speakers to the TOTO smart toilet and the well-stocked mini-bar, the hotel offers high-end amenities and comprehensive facilities, ensuring a comfortable experience for all guests. 💰 Cost per person: The room rate is approximately 685 yuan. Considering the high-quality service and facilities, it offers excellent value for money and is highly competitive in its price range. 💗 Other tips: Taking the metro is recommended, as Line 2 provides direct access to the airport and train station, offering both convenience and punctuality. Don't miss the cocktails in the Executive Lounge; feel free to try different flavors. If you prefer a more spacious room, booking a king room in advance is a good choice. The Guangzhou Baiyun Yuexiu Marriott Hotel stands out with its beautiful scenery, excellent service, and high-end facilities.
