As soon as you step into the exhibition hall, you will be stunned by the huge floor-to-ceiling stained glass windows! The geometric patterns of indigo, ochre and gold foil bloom on the glass. When the sun shines through, the bright colors pour down to the ground like a magic. Turning around, you step into the gorgeous light and shadow of the Persian palace. The exhibits are full of details - Sassanid pottery with flowing glaze, Islamic bookcases inlaid with mother-of-pearl, gold-plated jewelry with twined branches pattern... Each artifact is engraved with the millennium craftsmanship of the Middle East. My favorite is the mural "Hunting in the Garden". The mineral pigments are still as bright as ever, and even the falcon's feathers are so delicate that you can see the texture! It is recommended to enter early (the first wave after the museum opens at 9 o'clock). The best lighting and shadow are in front of the stained glass window. The patterns of the exhibits are super clear when photographed along the light. Wearing plain clothes will better match the atmosphere of the exhibition area. You can gain a lot of cultural knowledge by strolling slowly! The weekends are crowded.
