Red Memory Time Capsule: An Immersive Experience at the Site of the Third Congress of the Communist Party of China

Step into the Memorial Hall of the Third Congress of the Communist Party of China, located in Dongshankou, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, and travel back to the historical scene of 1923. This national 4A-level scenic spot, composed of the Congress site square, Chun Yuan, and the Historical Exhibition Hall, uses modern technology to recreate the significant moments of cooperation between the Communist Party and the Kuomintang: • Holographic projections guide visitors to explore the site’s relics, with a three-fold screen combining virtual and real imagery to recreate the congress scene. • Laser-etched light and shadow spaces showcase 108 artifacts, including the Maring Archives and the "Declaration of the Third National Congress of the Communist Party of China." Among them, a bird's-eye view photo of Dongshan, Guangzhou from the 1930s is particularly precious. • The Chun Yuan Story Hall features brick walls and phonograph sound effects, recreating the revolutionary planning atmosphere of figures like Chen Duxiu and Mao Zedong. After its renovation and expansion in 2021, the site’s area doubled, accommodating up to 700,000 visitors annually. On the first Saturday of each month, visitors can participate in the "Workers' Night School" immersive experience, feeling the passionate spirit of revolutionary pioneers. Today, this scenic spot, blending red education with the aesthetics of Republican-era architecture, serves as both a national patriotism education demonstration base and a timeless beacon of faith.
