🌸As soon as spring arrives, Baiyun Mountain in Guangzhou becomes my top choice for a spring outing! I recently visited and had such a fulfilling experience that I can't wait to share it with everyone. Transportation🚇 - You can take Subway Line 3 to Tonghe Station, Exit A. From there, it's a 10-minute walk to the South Gate. If you're entering from the West Gate, take Subway Line 3 to Yongtai Station, Exit B2, and then transfer to Bus No. 864. ~You can also take Subway Line 11 to Yuntai Garden Station. There's a whole street of snacks there. - If you're driving, the parking lot at the West Gate is quite large, and the parking fee is reasonable, at CNY 5/hr. Tickets🎫 Tickets are very affordable, at just CNY 5. Cable car tickets are CNY 20, and sightseeing trams are CNY 10. There's a separate CNY 5 ticket for Moxing Ridge. Tour Routes🎈 - Hiking Route: South Gate → Pu Valley → Nengren Temple → Mountaintop Square → Guangzhou Stele Forest → Jiulong Temple → Xiting Pavilion → Moxing Ridge. Along this route, you can enjoy the lush mountains and forests, and you might even encounter cute squirrels leaping among the branches. The natural beauty and lively animals complement each other perfectly. - Easy Ascent Route: South Gate → Cable Car → Mountaintop Square → Jiulong Temple → Moxing Ridge. This route is suitable for those who don't want to get too tired but still want to enjoy the scenery. You can overlook a vast expanse of greenery from the cable car. - Leisurely Flower Viewing Route: West Gate → Tram directly to Peach Blossom Valley → Peach Blossom Valley → Mingzhu Tower → Huigui Forest → Songtao Courtyard. Along the way, you'll see a variety of colorful flowers, including purple daisies, vibrant azaleas, and yellow and purple pansies. It's like stepping into a sea of flowers. Must-See Attractions📸 - Moxing Ridge: Standing at the highest point of Baiyun Mountain, even though there was a slight haze on the day I visited, I could still vaguely see the spectacular skyline of Guangzhou. The feeling of "looking down upon the lesser mountains" was fantastic. - Jiulong Spring: There's a hexagonal granite well with a diameter of about 1m. The water is clear and sweet, and legend has it that the century-old Tao Tao Ju Restaurant used this spring water to brew tea. - Pu Valley: This is a paradise for both children and adults. You can play in the water, wade through the streams, and admire the small waterfalls. The scenery is stunning. Nearby Amenities🍜 - Food: There are snack shops like McDonald's and KFC at Mountaintop Square. Near the South Gate and Yuntai Garden, there are many Cantonese restaurants where you can enjoy authentic cuisine. - Activities: The South Gate leads to Yuntai Garden, known as Monet's Fairytale Garden. A short walk from Yuntai Garden is Luhu Park, where you'll find a sea of cosmos flowers near Honghu Tower. Tips for Your Visit⚠️ - It's best to visit on a sunny day for better photos and easier walking. - The cable car stops operating at 6pm, so keep an eye on the time. Otherwise, you'll have to walk down the mountain if you miss the last cable car. At Baiyun Mountain, strolling through the woods, breathing in the fresh air, and encountering beautiful flowers and lively animals can truly make you forget all your worries.
