Ancient charm and modern style, a thousand years of history in your heart

The "Guangzhou Museum of Modern History and Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History" is located on Lingyuan West Road, Yuexiu District (inside the Guangzhou Uprising Martyrs Cemetery), with two museum plaques in the same building. The Guangdong Museum of Revolutionary History opened in 1959 and is the earliest revolutionary history museum in Guangdong Province. In 1996, the Guangzhou Museum of Modern History was established here to fully reflect the development of modern history in Guangzhou. The museum was originally the Guangdong Advisory Bureau in the late Qing Dynasty. In 1921, Sun Yat-sen was inaugurated as the Provisional President and held his inauguration ceremony here. It is an important revolutionary site during the Chinese Revolution.
