Father and Son Cemetery under the Sun Yat-sen Monument

The "Wu Tingfang and Wu Chaoshu Cemetery" is located in Yuexiu Park, Guangzhou, east of the Sun Yat-sen Monument, and consists of two tomb pavilions. Wu Tingfang (1842–1922) was a jurist who served as acting Prime Minister of the Republic of China, among other positions. Wu Chaoshu (1887–1934) was Wu Tingfang's son and served as Chairman of Guangdong Province, among other positions. The Wu father and son were both famous democratic revolutionaries. The two tombs were built in 1924 and 1963, respectively, and were moved to their current location in 1988. This cemetery is not only a witness to history, but also an important place to learn about the history of Guangzhou during the Republic of China.
