When the north is getting colder and snowing ☃️, Guangzhou is still not in winter. With temperatures in the 20s and bright sunshine 🌞, this fashion capital is a great place for a city walk. Starting from 📍Beijing Road, 🚶‍♂‍➡️ visit Dafo Temple, Liuhua Lake Park, and Yuexiu Park. Exploring the city on foot is a great way to travel. ㅤ 1️⃣ Beijing Road ㅤ This business district is a microcosm of life in old Guangzhou. It is home to many historic buildings and many must-try time-honored brands. The pedestrian street is the central axis of Beijing Road. You can explore ancient alleys such as Shufang Street, Goldfish Street, Liushui Well, Yanyun West, Jiuyao Lane, Mupaitou, and Gaodi Street. It feels like a bustling street market outside and a quiet alley inside. ㅤ 2️⃣ Dafo Temple ㅤ A thousand-year-old temple in the bustling city, it was built during the Southern Han Dynasty. The name comes from the three large bronze Buddha statues enshrined in the Mahavira Hall. During the day, there are many people, including those worshiping Buddha, meditating, and sightseeing, and the incense is very strong. But I prefer Dafo Temple at night, which has a bit of a real-life "Spirited Away" vibe. ㅤ 3️⃣ Liuhua Lake Park ㅤ Enter from the north gate, and you will see a European-style building like the White House in the middle of the lake, especially at sunset, when the reflection on the water is as beautiful as an oil painting. This building was originally called "Shuhong Pavilion" and was a restaurant to meet social needs in 1992. It is now the Guangzhou Garden Museum. ㅤ ⚠️Route: North Gate—White House—Furong Island—Floating Hill—Bald Cypress Forest—Frankfurt Garden—Crape Myrtle Garden—Lingbo Path—Northeast Gate ㅤ 4️⃣ Yuexiu Park ㅤ Yuexiu Park is also a park, but it is famous for its retro style, and walking into it brings back childhood memories. Enter through the main gate, turn left, cross the bridge, go straight, and turn right. The first thing you will see is the boat on the lake. There are many creatures above and below the water, and many parents take their children on the boat. The best part is the green chairs opposite the boat, which are perfect for taking retro photos. Even the star Zeng Shunxi has been here. You can also listen to the locals singing Cantonese songs for free. They probably think of this place as a karaoke room, haha.
