The South Sea God Temple is located in Miaotou Village, Huangpu District, Guangzhou City. It was founded in the 14th year of the Sui Dynasty's Kaihuang era, and has a history of more than 1400 years. As the only surviving and largest, most complete sea god temple among China's four major sea god temples, it is not only the site where Chinese emperors of past dynasties conducted sea worship ceremonies, but also one of the birthplaces of the ancient Maritime Silk Road, witnessing the prosperous history of Guangzhou's maritime trade.
