Zengcheng Zengjiang Gallery, let's hike together to see the scenery

■ Zengjiang Gallery, one of Guangzhou’s classic greenways, is truly picturesque, with many scenic spots and ancient villages to visit along the way. ■ Zengjiang Greenway has no clear starting point and end point. There are many greenway parks along the coast. If we make a general distinction, it can be divided into the South District and the North District with the urban area as the center. ■【Urban area】The road along the river is very narrow. There is basically no greenway and it is not easy to walk, especially the west bank, which is full of parked cars. ■【South District】From Yanta Bridge to Chuxi Hydropower Station, the entire east and west banks are connected by a pure greenway park. ●The west bank is wider, so the road design is more interesting, with many twists and turns. This is also the most crowded area. You can rent all kinds of bicycles here, and there are all kinds of small vendors like a market. You can also combine cycling with Lihu Park. ●The East Coast Greenway Park is relatively small, so the greenway here is mostly a straight road. The scenery is a bit more monotonous than that of the West Coast, but there are also two or three amazing places. There are very few tourists here, and it seems that there are no car rentals. Naturally, there are few vendors, and you have to ride a bike while walking and selling your goods. ●It can extend from Chuxi Hydropower Station to Shitan Town, but the west bank of the riverbank is a bad road, while the east bank is perfect. From Shitan Town, you can extend westward to Gualing Ancient Village (near Xinshashan Metro Station). The entire route is basically greenways, river embankment roads, and rural roads with few cars. ■【North District】From Zengcheng Bridge to Menghuabu, you can extend to Huangwu Village or Baijianghu Forest Park, but there is no bridge connecting the two places, so you can only return to Menghuabu. Behind the North District, only Zhengguo Town and Menghuabu have bridges. Due to road construction in Miaotan Village, we had to return to Guanghui Bridge, so we didn’t have time to explore Baijianghu Forest Park and Huangwu Village this time. ●There are two major greenway areas from the west bank to the Hexiangu Scenic Area, Xidi Park and Liantang Spring Scenery, which are connected all the way and have cars for rent. There are only provincial and rural roads from the Hexiangu Scenic Area to Menghuabu, and most sections of the road do not run along the river bank. ●The greenway is available on the east bank only in front of Dafen Village, which is the part protruding to the west. It disappears once you turn out. You have to walk about 3 kilometers on the provincial road to turn into Baihu Park. This 3 kilometers should be the original greenway. It seems that they are excavating it now to lay water pipes. It may be restored as a greenway in the future. From Baihu Park, you can walk along the river bank, which is basically a greenway, river embankment road, or rural road with few cars, passing Baihu Village, Huangtang Village, Guihu Village, Zhengguo Old Street, all the way to Menghuabu. ■In summary, Zengjiang Greenway is very beautiful and suitable for small-scale leisure cycling of 10 to 20 kilometers, but it is not convenient for large-scale loop cycling. In general, it has several disadvantages compared to the Liuxi River Greenway: [1] There is no subway station along the river. [2] There are no shared bicycles, but of course there are rental bicycles in major greenway parks, with a variety of models. 【3】The greenway along the entire river lacks continuity and is disconnected in many places. [4] There are too few bridges. Only the urban area has many bridges connecting the two banks. In the middle section of the northern district, only Baihu Village has a ferry, making it inconvenient to ride a bike around. (Take care of the environment!
