Guangzhou's new cultural landmark and a gem of art on the central axis

The new venue of the Guangzhou Art Museum (Guangzhou Museum of Fine Arts), located at No. 198 Yiyuan Road, Haizhu District, Guangzhou, officially opened to the public in November 2023. The new venue's exhibitions, themed around 'Millennial Treasures and Lingnan Elegance', feature over 1,100 pieces from the museum's collection and more than 200 loaned masterpieces. The exhibits include Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, sculptures, watercolors, etc., and are divided into four sections: inheriting classics, reinterpreting Lingnan, and digital empowerment, for visitors to explore and enjoy. The new venue of the Guangzhou Art Museum aims to become a large modern art platform integrating collection, exhibition, research, and education. It will stand as Guangzhou's new cultural landmark and an artistic pearl on the new central axis, embodying a comprehensive art museum that merges tradition with technology, and Lingnan culture with contemporary art.
