The only downside of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Guangzhou is that you can't see the Canton Tower anymore

I snagged a great deal, a presale voucher for two nights at 2888 (excluding breakfast). Happy to check in ~~~ Ranked number one for pet-friendly luxury hotels. There are bowls for food and water, as well as a cozy spot for cats at the entrance. And pets are allowed to stay (I must bring my dog to stay here one day!) ~~~ The location is very convenient at Taikoo Hui, with a subway station right downstairs and taxis are readily available (but Guangzhou has such heavy traffic, I got carsick several times, better stick to the subway😮‍💨) ~~~ The breakfast is semi-buffet style, so there aren't many choices~ but! it! is! so delicious! Especially the beef noodles! Eggs Benedict! Wontons! Life-saving! Hahaha, so I eat a lot every morning and am full of energy for the day ~~~ The pastry shop is also good, I tried 4 varieties, the croissants were not crispy because they got cold, but the rest were nice, not too sweet, very flaky, and reasonably priced (about 120 for 4, I think, because it was charged to the room, so I don't have the details) ~~~ I must say again, I really like the design of having a separate toilet haha, the hotels I've chosen recently are all to my liking ~~~ The view outside the window: not important. The bedding is comfortable, that's what matters! The hotel even provided a sleep aid spray at check-in, so thoughtful! ~~~ I have to say, there are so many mirrors in the room that I can't help but take a couple of photos every day haha.
