Longtou Ancient Village

Longtou Ancient Village is located in Tanbu Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou City. The village was established in the 27th year of the Zhi Zheng era of the Yuan Dynasty (1367), and it has a history of 642 years to date; Longtou Ancient Village currently preserves nearly 200 intact Qing Dynasty and Ming Dynasty green brick buildings, including nearly 30 ancestral halls, study rooms, and academies, as well as 3 watchtowers and gate towers. There are also more than 20 ancient alleys in the village, along with the historic Shengping Renrui Archway and Qingyun Bridge. Longtou Ancient Village is famous for its variety of ancient buildings, large scale of preserved structures, and rich cultural connotations. It is one of the largest preserved ancient villages in Guangdong to date. In 2008, Longtou Ancient Village was recognized as one of the first batch of 27 ancient villages in Guangdong Province, and in 2010 it was named one of Guangzhou's top ten characteristic streets (villages). Longtou Ancient Village is located in Tanbu Town, Huadu District, Guangzhou City, and is well worth a visit. You can choose to take the Metro Line 9 to Feie Ling Station, and then take a taxi or the Hua 5B, Hua 15 bus to get there. In addition, the attraction is open to the public for free.
