#Greater Bay Area Attractions The Guangdong-Hong Kong General Strike Memorial Hall is a memorial museum established to commemorate the anti-imperialist and patriotic general strike led by the Communist Party of China in 1925. The memorial is located at the former site of the Guangdong-Hong Kong Strike Committee. The entire memorial hall can be divided into three parts: the main building, the lotus pond and the small auditorium. There are arched doors and windows and red and white corridors. The silhouettes of coconut trees are reflected on the white walls. In the evening, the afterglow of the setting sun shines on the corridor, adding a retro and nostalgic charm. In June 1925, in order to support the May 30th Movement in Shanghai, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, organized and launched a massive strike in Guangdong and Hong Kong. The museum’s basic exhibit is the “Guangdong-Hong Kong General Strike Historical Exhibition”, and is equipped with multi-functional sand table models, holographic imaging and other modern technological devices, bringing a different exhibition experience.
