Zhaohua Ancient Town.

As the saying goes, "Once you arrive in Zhaohua (pronounced as 'hua'), you will forget about your parents." This saying reflects the prosperity and hedonistic culture of Bashu in ancient times. Zhaohua has a history of over 4,000 years and a continuous county history of 2,244 years. It is one of the earliest county seats in ancient China and is known as the "First County of Bashu and the Second Capital of Shu". It is particularly famous for its Three Kingdoms culture. Historically, it was said that "Shu Han rose in Zhaohua and fell at Jianmen". There are many existing Three Kingdoms relics, including the famous Jiameng Pass, Niutou Mountain, Fei Yi Tomb, and Bao San Tomb. The ancient town has four gates: the south gate "Linjiang", the east gate "Zhanfeng", the west gate "Linqing", and the north gate "Gongji". There are four existing main streets and five small alleys. The ancient streets on both sides retain complete Ming and Qing buildings. Longmen Academy, Kaopeng, Yixin Garden, and Yihetang are all well-preserved. Most of them are traditional northern Sichuan-style residences with wooden structures, small green tiles, and simple and elegant designs. You can buy a ticket to Zhaohua Ancient Town to visit the city wall, county government office, Kaopeng, and Sword and Sword Hegemony Garden. You can also visit the ancient town without a ticket.
