2024/August 🌍 Mexico 🇲🇽Guadalajara Adventure: A Day of Food and Culture

🌍 Mexico 🇲🇽Guadalajara Adventure: A Day of Food and Culture 2024/8/12 Explore the market and cultural district! We set out to explore another side of the city. Since the exchange rate at the airport was terrible, we decided to change money in the city. **I chose FOREIGN EXCHANGE CENTER WEST PEARL** The exchange point is near the church in the city center. The store is clean and large. The exchange rate is much better than that at the airport. You can exchange it for 1,780 pesos with 100 US dollars, which is 230 more than at the airport. Pesos, this feels like a better deal! After exchanging money, we walked about 10 minutes to **Mercado Libertad - San Juan de Dios**, which is the largest market in Guadalajara with a wide variety of products, ranging from handicrafts to daily necessities. My friends who were traveling with me started shopping like crazy, while I was busy looking for good-looking shot glass, haha! The lively atmosphere and dazzling variety of products in the market opened our eyes. In the afternoon, we took a taxi to the artistic **Tlaquepaque Centro**. The small shops here are super easy to browse, and every corner is filled with a strong artistic atmosphere. Many shops have clearly marked prices, so you don’t have to worry about being cheated, but you can still try your hand at bargaining. I bought some beautiful little souvenirs here and I am really satisfied. Afterwards, we took a short rest at the Internet celebrity restaurant **Restaurante Casa Luna**. This restaurant is beautifully decorated, has a great sense of space, and has a cozy atmosphere, perfect for sitting down with a drink and dessert. What was even more surprising was that we happened to encounter a live band playing and spent a leisurely two hours completely immersed in this beautiful afternoon. After that, we continued to walk around the streets of **Tlaquepaque** and enjoyed the unique charm here. We walked around until around 5pm. Although the sun was still very bright, we had not slept well in the past few days due to jet lag, so we decided to go back to the hotel early to rest. Guadalajara is a city full of surprises and charm, from the lively atmosphere of its markets to the artistic atmosphere of its cultural districts, which makes you want to visit again. This two-day trip not only allowed us to experience the local culture, but also indulged in food and shopping. If you have the chance to come back next time, you will definitely make Tlaquepaque a priority💕
